On 07.07.11, the Naval Industry Cluster Association, with the support of our professional services firm, signed an agreement with Montes del Plata that will enable the construction of three new national barges.

The fact represents a new boost for the Naval Logistics Hub of Cerro. Through this modality of river transport, MDP will supply wood logs to the pulp plant currently under construction in the Department of Colonia. Each barge will have a capacity of 5,000 tons and will be able to transport the equivalent of 170 trucks.
